Traditional Art Summative

Here is a drawing of a medieval helmet. I was trying to replicate the shine on the metal but it was harder than i expected, but i like how it has turned out, though i could had done better on the shading on the left side of the helmet.

Here is a drawing of a right arm being flexed as it shows the muscles within the arm. I like how the hand turned out because of the shading and rending on it, as for the the upper arm i could had made more details on it, i noticed that i did not truly show the veins properly and i could had made it a bit better looking back at it now.

Here is a drawing of a still life. I like how the apples turned out, i tried to create a Van Gogh style on the apples, which i think worked really well. The only thing i did not like was the jug, as it did not stick with the style that was done on the apples. Overall i like how i have done the rendering and shading of this drawing and the composition of how the apples were arranged.

Here is a drawing of a Cockatiel, i tried to re create the softness of the feathers on the bird, which i think it could had been slightly better, though i do like how the details on the head looked, which shows tiny 'eyelash' type of feathers that these birds have, i also liked how the beak on the bird was rendered, it shows details on the beak like cracks and uneven layers. Overall i think i did really well with this drawing.

Here is a self-portrait of me from a picture taken a couple of months ago. I tried to make it look like me as much as possible, the things i could had worked on more would be the mouth and probably the eyes. I do like how i shaded the neck though. The hair was a little bit dull for my liking as it did not really show the reflection of the light. And could had worked a little better on the rendering on the face, which did not really show the details i would had wanted to show.

Here is a replicate painting of what i did of Paul Cézannes' painting called 'The Three Skulls'. I especially like how i have done this painting because it nearly looked like the original itself. I think i did really well on the color of the paint and how Cézanne used his brush strokes for the painting. The things i did not like was the table, as i have made it too thick on the side as it should had been slightly thinner, and the middle skull, which was little too much red. Overall, i enjoyed painting this work and mimicking Paul Cézannes painting style.
